Katherine or Taylor?

Ah, yes - it's that time of year when life-changing decisions must be made, and I don't mean whether or not IndyVisual should go high-def. More importantly, who's the next "American Idol?" My vote is for Taylor, if he promises not to keep yelling "Soul Patrol!" at me. I'll admit it, I'm an entertainment junkie. I think it's rooted in the few years I lived in Thailand as a child, and and American TV shows and movies were my temporary transportation home. My family said that I majored in "TV watching" in college. The first thing I do when I wake up is turn on VH1 - that's my morning radio. In just the past week or so, I've taken the kids to see "The Shaggy Dog," "Pink Panther" and "Over the Hedge." I came THIS close to dragging my 8-year-old to the INXS concert a few days ago. Not that I'm a big fan - I'm just the rare person who liked "Rock Star: INXS" as a show even better than "Idol." I'll compensate by taking Matthew to the "Idol" concert when it comes - Chris is his favorite. Now I'm in TV heaven with season finales like "24," "Desperate Housewives," "Alias," "Lost" and "Idol" this week. Imagine my life BEFORE I weaned myself off of "Amazing Race," "Apprentice" and "Survivor!" My summer fixes will be "Rock Star: Supernova," "Hell's Kitchen" (try it!) and "Scrubs" reruns. But now it's that time of year when I get to say goodbye to the TV season and turn my focus to MAKING great television for my clients. I love this job!

Update: As I revisit this post in July, I'm disappointed in the talent level and narrow range of songs on "Rock Star," more impressed than ever with "Hell's Kitchen," and hooked on "Entourage," which replaces the non-rerunning "Scrubs" on my things-to-watch list.
