Lindsay & Mark - 1/30/10

Our first wedding of 2010 brought me back to the town of Haubstadt, Indiana, where Lindsay & Mark exchanged vows at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church before celebrating at Madden Hall of St. James Catholic Church. I covered Mark's twin brother Matthew's wedding there a few years ago, and it was a treat to see many familiar faces and elements like the venues, pre-ceremony music, communal beer bucket, and most hilariously, Matthew's return of the present that the groom had given him a few years back during the toast. It was a pleasure to work with Elizabeth Vincent Photography as well as Jones DJ Service throughout Lindsay & Mark's special day.

Stephanie & Chauncey - 12/12/09

Stephanie & Chauncey's holiday wedding brought me back for the first time in ages to Roberts Park United Methodist Church, the site of one of my first shoots 17 years ago. It was great to see some familiar faces from WRTV-6 (where I got my start) play key roles in the ceremony, and the sparkler/fireworks combo was an awesome send-off. The reception at the Rathskeller was a riot, as photographer Charley Green could attest. This was a crowd who knew how to party, and the "worm-off" had me in stitches (not to mention one of the participants in the hospital later). Thanks to Jet Kaiser for the referral!

Laura & Eric - 11/28/09

Laura & Eric enjoyed a beautiful wedding ceremony at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist, followed by a lively reception with the city's best view at the Skyline Club. In between, we stopped by Monument Circle for some fun photos with photographer Kurtis Bowersock (who referred Laura & Eric to us). The newly remodeled interior of the Skyline Club blended perfectly with both the holiday decor and the beautiful work by Union Street Flowers & Gifts, and the Endless Summer Band had the dance floor rocking from the very first song.

Abbie & Gabe - 11/27/09

In a year filled with some truly spectacular events, Abbie & Gabe's wedding at the Indiana State House and reception at the Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station was definitely among the biggest we have ever covered. Tonya Shadoan of Circle City Planners was given two months to put it all together and did a masterful job, bringing together a dream team of vendors to help her fulfill the couple's unique vision. (Abbie wanted lots of purple, Gabe wanted lots of guitars - done!)
Nathaniel Edmunds Photography, Circle City Designers, KB Design, Evans Audio/Visual, Flying Toasters and Indy Photo Booths all contributed to an award-worthy event, which was outshined only by the love that Abbie and Gabe had for each other. In fact, for all the extravagance that went into the event, and all the amazing details that I would love to write about (hopefully the video and links below will suffice), what struck me most was the way all of it seemed to disappear when Gabe serenaded Abbie. Oh, and they wanted to exit through snow, so we made snow!
