The Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station provided the perfect yuletide backdrop for Corrina & Kamron’s holiday wedding & reception.  The day started with prep coverage and a first look, followed by photos with Ian Borgerhoff (who referred Corrine & Kamron to us).  The ceremony in the Grand Hall was filled with laughs and looked fantastic under a magnificent arch created by Circle City Designers.  After a flawless room flip, the reception was a blast as well, with Lakeside Entertainment leading the way on the dance floor and Circle City Planners keeping the evening running smoothly.  Corrina & Kamron’s big day was definitely a perfect way to cap off an amazing 2014.

”I Kicked Cancer’s Ass!” Tonya Shadoan of Circle City Planners organized a very special gathering of friends & family to surprise her daughter Katelyn in celebration of her triumph over cancer. How an entire high school kept this event a secret was a mystery, but Kate was indeed surprised, and she & her friends had the time of their lives. It was honor to be there among friends to help celebrate the start of a healthy new chapter in Katelyn’s life.

No one will soon forget Kourtni & Mike’s wedding weekend at Blueberry Hill Estate in the beautiful rolling hills of Paoli, Indiana.  From the rehearsal activities Friday night captured by Brandon through the concluding fireworks Saturday, the magic never let up.  The hilltop ceremony was an unforgettable highlight, with Darcie and her team working hard to make it happen ahead of the approaching rain.  The reception tent looked magnificent as well, and Jim Cerone was the perfect host to guide the guests through so many unique moments, my favorite of which was the singing of “Sweet Caroline” as a tribute to the memory of loved ones who were missed.  Kudos to the rest of the amazing team of vendors for toughing out the extreme heat & driving rain to make this amazing day happen, including Circle City Planners, Ian Borgerhoff Photography (who referred Kourtni & Mike to us), Karen Hall and Company, Westwood Paper Company, Hoaglin Catering, Heavenly Sweets, Wow Factors and Evans Audio Visual.BlogNalkerNew

Krystal and Courtney enjoyed a perfect storybook wedding day at the Scottish Rite Cathedral with lots of amazing surprises for their guests. Krystal looked radiant as she arrived, fresh from her transformation by Karen Hall & Co. After an emotional first meeting with Courtney, photographer Jessica Strickland and videographer Heather Brogden captured some photos & footage while I got to work on creating a same-day edit video to surprise everyone with later. The ceremony was lovely, with beautiful live music provided by R&B artist Cupid.

The ballroom was simply stunning thanks to the efforts of Darcie Kornmeyer of Circle City Planners (who referred us), Circle City Designers, Thomas Caterers, Classic Cakes and Evans Audio Visual among others. Shortly after their first dance, we surprised the guests with the showing of the Same Day Edit, featuring highlights of the day right up through that first dance, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. The other big surprise was the ubiquitous “Cupid Shuffle” performed live by Cupid himself, before DJ Indiana Jones closed the deal on an unforgettable night. Thanks to an amazing vendor team for making the impossible possible!

Nikki & Jon enjoyed a truly magical wedding and reception at the Sheraton at Keystone Crossing. I knew the second Nikki professed her love for all things Disney, Renaissance Fair, Game of Thrones, etc. that this was going to be one fun evening, and it did not disappoint. Circle City Designers did an amazing job creating one of the coolest aisles I’ve ever seen for the ceremony – think winter wonderland. The reception rocked as well, thanks to some old-school funk and R&B provided Blonde Entertainment band Toy Factory, and a lot of goofy fun was captured by Indy Photo Booths. The talented Turtle Pond Photography team was there shooting all the good times alongside me, and planner Leslie Jones (who referred Nikki & Jon to us) did her usual masterful job overseeing all of the event’s details.

Angela & Chad are a stunning and very sweet couple who exchanged vows in a lovely Friday ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church before celebrating at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.  Though they didn’t see each other before the wedding, Josie of Crowe’s Eye Photography set up a cute moment where they got to hold hands and say “hi” to each other.  Then after the ceremony, we hopped over to the Lockerbie area for some more shots before heading to the reception.

The ballroom looked fantastic, not surprising given the team behind it – Darcie of Circle City Planners (who along with the Scottish Rite referred Angela & Chad to us), Circle City Designers, Thomas Caterers, Classic Cakes and nice lighting by Brian Whitis.  Mark Beecher of Grapevine Entertainment expertly presided over an amazing evening enjoyed by all, and after some candid shots in a Circle City Photobooth, we couldn’t say goodbye to this adorable couple without a few more nighttime shots outside.

Anica & Andy became one in an elegant wedding ceremony at Meridian Street United Methodist Church, followed by a huge reception at Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station.  Family and faith were recurrent themes throughout the day, as Andy’s father (who was also his best man) presided over a portion of the ceremony, and Anica’s father lovingly restored a bicycle from the 1940’s, which was a striking focal point for Circle City Designers‘ eclectic decor as the guests arrived at the reception.  Wedding Entertainment Director Jim Cerone led the crowd through an evening filled with priceless moments, and after some cool night-time downtown shots with photographer Kevin Swan, Anica & Andy exited through a row of sparklers  into their new life together.  Big thanks to Jim, Kevin & the Crowne for referring such a beautiful event to us!

A few years after filming Amanda & Michael’s wedding, I was excited to film the wedding of Michael’s twin sister Courtney & Ross at East 91st Street Christian Church, followed by their reception at the Eiteljorg Museum.  Prior to the ceremony, photographer Dawn Fisher of Galleria Studios & I captured some fun shots of the bridal party, which included many of our previous as well as future clients.  The reception looked fantastic thanks to colorful decor by Circle City Designers, and the service by Kahn’s Catering was top notch.  The DJs of PBJ Entertainment presided over a lively evening of dancing, highlighted by a cameo appearance by Purdue Pete, and the flutter fetti sendoff was the perfect way to top off a glorious day.

Marissa & J.W. shared an elegant, music-filled ceremony at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church before celebrating during a high-energy reception at the Indianapolis Museum of Art.  Marissa looked amazing, and J.W. is simply one of the most free-spirited grooms I have ever met, which became clear when I had to dodge Nerf darts just to say hello to him.  The ceremony included a large share of music beautifully sung by a choir that included many members I recognized from my own church.

Antique Limo brought the couple to the IMA, where we spent a good amount of time roaming the grounds of the IMA for photos with Turtle Pond Photography before heading into Deer Zink for a superb dinner by Kahn’s Catering.  The decor by Circle City Designers was fabulous as usual, but one only had to look up to see the true focal point of the room – dozens of paper stars from India modified by Scott Evans into stunning lanterns.  With the band Groove Essential leading the way, J.W. set the tone for the evening by twisting, turning and twirling Marissa to the point that they both ended up dizzy on the ground at the end of the first dance – seeing stars, of course.  Kudos to Darcie Kornmeyer of Circle City Planners (who referred us) for coordinating such a memorable occasion to perfection.
