11 years after we filmed the wedding of Marcy’s sister Angie, it was Marcy & Peter’s turn in the spotlight (and on TV) as they got married at St. Roch Catholic Church, followed by a spectacular reception at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.  With a camera crew on hand from TLC’s “Something Borrowed, Something New,” the ceremony went perfectly, although photographers bobbi+mike had to save the day when the trolley broke down a few blocks away with the newly married couple on board!  The reception ballroom looked magnificent with towering flowers by Dream Weddings and cake by Sweet Seductions, and it was hard not to smile at all the books that were left as “favors” by this education-minded bride on everyone’s plates.  Party rock was in the house tonight with Zanna-doo leading the way, and overseeing the whole day to perfection was the wonderful Boldly Chic Events team.

Having known and worked with photographers Jim & Lois Wyant for 20 years, it was the ultimate honor to be hired by them to film their son John’s wedding day as he tied the knot with Erin at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Greenfield.  Photographer Nancy Bailey did a masterful job with the formals and ceremony coverage, and then Kellie Michael took over for the fun reception at The Righteous Oaks Historic Ballroom, a charming event space in a converted church in Wilkinson.  The highlights were plentiful, from Lois’ surprise slideshow including video clips from the day to John & Lois’ surprise mother-son dance, before DJ Scott Johnson of Audio Inferno Entertainment took over as my dear friends danced the night away.

Moey is one of the sweetest, most happy-go-lucky brides I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, and Drew is her perfect match, as anyone who witnessed their wedding at St. Mary’s Catholic Church & reception at the Indiana Roof Ballroom could attest.  After covering preparations at Evan Todd Salon and an emotional gift exchange at the Conrad Indianapolis, we headed to the church for their beautiful ceremony.  Afterwards, we hopped around downtown with photographer Jessica Strickland for some fun shots, finishing up at the Pearl Street Pub.  The Roof looked incredible as always, with decor by The Empty Vase and A Classic Party Rental, and a Heavenly Sweets cake welcoming the guests.  The Andrew Young Band had the crowd rocking all night with funky classics & recent EDM hits, and Jessica Dum Wedding Coordination was there to keep everything flowing smoothly all day.
