Tasha & Stephen exchanged vows at St. John Catholic Church, followed by a fun reception at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. Coverage started with preparations at the Hyatt Regency with EyeMAX Makeup, highlighted by Tasha’s traditional pre-wedding toast with her parents and two sisters, whose previous weddings we also filmed. After the ceremony at St. John’s, Nathaniel Edmunds Photography and I headed out for some fun photo ops around downtown before settling in at the Scottish Rite. The reception in the ballroom was a blast, featuring superb service by Thomas Caterers of Distinction, elegant decor by Kathy’s Kloset, divine cake by Heavenly Sweets, rockin’ music by Track Seven DJs, and lots of memories shared with many former clients in this fun crowd.

Andrea & Patrick brought plenty of international flavor (in every sense of the word) to their wedding and reception at The Alexander. From their emotional first meeting captured by Vrai Photography amid the hotel’s stunning artwork through the fun, breezy ceremony, their affection for each other translated clearly to their guests from all over the world. Though for those who needed a little guidance, Pomp & Polish‘s brilliantly designed multilingual program spelled the action out in all languages.

It was at their reception in Market Table that they truly got to show their international colors, through their multi-lingual speeches, two very different Classic Cakes, energetic & eclectic music by Cathy Morris & DJ Krista Lee, and especially the mouth-watering variety of tapas style creations by the ingenious Alexander staff, topped off by favors and a champagne bar featuring Sage’s Simple Syrups. Making all this awesomeness happen within just a couple of months was planner Monica Richard of Mon Amie Events, who thankfully brought me on board this out-of-this-world ride.

Krystal and Courtney enjoyed a perfect storybook wedding day at the Scottish Rite Cathedral with lots of amazing surprises for their guests. Krystal looked radiant as she arrived, fresh from her transformation by Karen Hall & Co. After an emotional first meeting with Courtney, photographer Jessica Strickland and videographer Heather Brogden captured some photos & footage while I got to work on creating a same-day edit video to surprise everyone with later. The ceremony was lovely, with beautiful live music provided by R&B artist Cupid.

The ballroom was simply stunning thanks to the efforts of Darcie Kornmeyer of Circle City Planners (who referred us), Circle City Designers, Thomas Caterers, Classic Cakes and Evans Audio Visual among others. Shortly after their first dance, we surprised the guests with the showing of the Same Day Edit, featuring highlights of the day right up through that first dance, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. The other big surprise was the ubiquitous “Cupid Shuffle” performed live by Cupid himself, before DJ Indiana Jones closed the deal on an unforgettable night. Thanks to an amazing vendor team for making the impossible possible!

Videographer Brandon New did a great job capturing Liz & Brice’s big day, from their wedding at Christ Church Cathedral on Monument Circle to their huge celebration at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. Liz enjoyed a sweet first look with her dad before the ceremony, and the music during the wedding was highlighted by an amazing choir right alongside the cameras in the balcony. The ballroom at the Roof looked simply gorgeous with flowers by McNamara Florist and a cake by Classic Cakes, and the always-awesome Zanna-doo rocked the guests all night long, with a little help onstage at one point by Liz & Brice along with a few little party starters. Thanks to photographer Shane Rodimel & the Leslie Jones Weddings team for being great to work with, and huge thanks to the Indiana Roof Ballroom for the referral!

Ashley & Josh took over every nook and cranny of the Scottish Rite Cathedral for a truly epic wedding day. The ceremony was moved indoors due to a rainy forecast, but Gene Huddleson (who referred this fantastic event to us) and his Detail+Design team executed their backup plan to perfection, with the Evans Audio Visual gang helping to bring more than a touch of the outdoors with them. The orchestra by Encore Entertainment set an elegant tone for the ceremony, and Ashley’s stunning dress was a highlight in itself, judging by the reaction of the crowd.

The reception decor in the ballroom was equally jaw-dropping, with an eclectic medley of tables (including some cool new ones by Wow Factors) and towering centerpieces surrounding a majestic cake by Classic Cakes. Photographer Hether Miles and I had a field day capturing all this splendor. The service by Thomas Caterers was spotless as usual, and the R&B music by the Chicago Catz was purr-fect for this party crowd. The “afterglow” in the South Lounge concluded the evening with a fun club vibe, complete with an outdoor cigar lounge.

Lauren & Ryan are a wonderful, faith-filled couple who exchanged vows at Second Presbyterian Church before celebrating their union at D’Amore Indianapolis. Coverage started with the rehearsal, followed by a fun, Texas-sized hoedown dinner in a full-sized basketball gym on a relative’s property.

The wedding day was filled with moments both surreal & magical, from the way a gust of wind lifted Lauren veil right off her head to a moving moment of prayer while holding hands without seeing each other prior to the ceremony. The reception was filled with surprises as well, my favorite of which was Ryan (a college quarterback) removing the garter from Lauren…with a football wrapped in it!

Kudos to an amazing vendor team, including photographer Shelly Valentine, Palmer Kelley Designs, the Thomas Caterers team, Heavenly SweetsIndy Photo Booths – and especially Wedding Entertainment Director Jim Cerone and planner Jeanne Milan, both of whom referred this All-American couple to us.

A rainy weather forecast didn’t keep Kristy & John from enjoying a wonderful wedding & reception at Anderson Country Club. With the nuptials moved indoors, we squeezed in an impromptu rehearsal right on the banquet room dance floor before the guests arrived for a pre-ceremony cocktail hour. With the guests in place at their dinner tables, the ceremony was short & sweet, and only minutes later, the couple was re-introduced for the lively reception. Platinum DJ Productions was there to set the tone, and then Toy Factory brought it home with some funky live R&B to keep the crowd grooving on the dance floor. Special thanks to Kristy’s sister Nicki for the referral!

It’s always an honor to be hired by fellow event professionals to film their own weddings, and Audreyalice & Paul’s wedding & reception at the Horizon Convention Center in Muncie was no exception. I teamed up with the always-hilarious bobbi+mike for prep coverage, the first look, and photos around the neighborhood. The wine box “time capsule” ceremony during the wedding was a nice touch. The reception was a feast for the eyes, with AV and music provided by Paul’s company AMS Entertainment in their home venue. I loved the “Ball Jar” motif throughout the decor, but it’s the maple bacon cupcakes that my taste buds will always remember. What a fun night with such a sweet couple!

Maggie & Steven exchanged vows in a Judeo-Christian ceremony under a gorgeous chuppah at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, and then celebrated with friends & family at the Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station. After a first meeting and exchange of gifts under the chuppah, they headed outside for photos with Nathaniel Edmunds Photography and then signed a ketubah, while A Touch of Elegance worked behind the scenes to set the stage for a beautiful wedding with combined traditions.

The reception featured many unique touches, and the Grand Hall looked fantastic with classically elegant decor by Bokay Florist and a towering cake by Heavenly Sweets. Wedding Entertainment Director Jim Cerone presided over the evening’s events, culminating in a “flashy” grand exit by horse carriage. It was a blast working with many of my favorite vendor friends, and big thanks to Meredith Gradle for referring your super-sweet sister & new brother-in-law to us!

Miranda & Sean’s wedding weekend was truly amazing from their uplifting ceremony at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church through their spectacular reception at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.  Coverage began with a rehearsal dinner at Mateo’s on the square in Noblesville.  The next day’s preparations started at the bride’s gorgeous family estate, highlighted by her father’s display of a $2 bill they had split when she was a child.  Following the beautiful ceremony, Miranda surprised the crowd with her bouquet toss before heading off with Sean in a classy Rolls Royce by Antique Limousines of Indy.

After some fun shots around downtown with photographer Jessica Strickland, we gathered at the Scottish Rite’s ballroom, which was magnificently transformed by Gene Huddleson (who referred Miranda & Sean to us) and his Detail+Design team, with help from Thomas Caterers of Distinction, Evans Audio-Visual, Pomp & Polish, Heavenly Sweets and others.  No one will forget the tearjerking reading of a lullaby poem by Miranda’s father, timed perfectly with a slideshow of her early years.  The First Impression Band and Grapevine Entertainment rocked the remainder of the evening, with a surprise explosion of streamers punctuating a perfect weekend.
