From her extravagant wedding in St. Lucia through her daughter’s baby shower and first birthday party, Asha’s events have been a blast to film and always a treat for the senses.  But nothing prepared me for what she had in store for Valentine’s Day at Tre Bella in Mesa, Arizona.  This upscale event strictly for adults was filled with sexy entertainment, delicious cuisine and naughty favors, all surrounded by Asha’s signature stunning decor.

Three years after filming Asha & Tyrone’s epic wedding & reception in St. Lucia plus their second reception at the Conrad Indianapolis, I had the pleasure of capturing another wonderful milestone in their lives – soon-to-be-born Iayah’s baby shower at The Palace at Somerset Park in New Jersey.  Working alongside photographer Jibran Aslam, I captured Asha’s usual stunning fairy-tale decor highlighted by a Disney-themed cake, lots of fun and games with their loved ones, and some sweet moments with the couple alone.  The food and hospitality at The Palace were first class (I can still taste those short ribs), and it was a blast to be reunited with so many familiar faces from that unforgettable experience a few years back.  Precious Iayah was born on August 11 and is adorable!

A rainy weather forecast didn’t keep Kristy & John from enjoying a wonderful wedding & reception at Anderson Country Club. With the nuptials moved indoors, we squeezed in an impromptu rehearsal right on the banquet room dance floor before the guests arrived for a pre-ceremony cocktail hour. With the guests in place at their dinner tables, the ceremony was short & sweet, and only minutes later, the couple was re-introduced for the lively reception. Platinum DJ Productions was there to set the tone, and then Toy Factory brought it home with some funky live R&B to keep the crowd grooving on the dance floor. Special thanks to Kristy’s sister Nicki for the referral!

Abbey & A.J. got married in a beautiful ceremony at Holy Spirit Parish, followed by a celebration with family & friends at the Ritz Charles.  Coverage started with the rehearsal dinner in The Sanctuary in Zionsville, where Nancy Noel’s life-like paintings surrounded the couple’s friends and family for a lovely dinner, highlighted by a surprise slideshow created by Abbey for A.J. and a family serenade of a cleverly customized version of “Little Drummer Boy.”

The wedding day was equally fun, with the bridal party making a pit stop at Rock Bottom Brewery after the ceremony.  The reception was held in the pavilion at the Ritz Charles, which featured gorgeous bursts of color provided by Kathy’s Kloset, and DJ Jason Fritz had no trouble keeping this festive crowd on its toes through the remainder of the night.  All of the good times were captured by photographers Jim & Lois Wyant, who kindly referred Abbey & A.J. to us.

Anna & Matthew are a fun, hilarious couple who kept me in stitches throughout their ceremony and reception at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.  After preparations and a first meeting at the JW Marriott, the couple spent the afternoon dodging raindrops for photos with Nathaniel Edmunds Photography before convening at the Roof to sign their ketubah.  I loved having the ceremony in the round, which gave us some great angles to work with.

The reception was full of infectious energy from their sprinting entrance into the ballroom through their two-lap sparkler exit & horse carriage sendoff.  The Endless Summer Band kept the crowd going throughout the night, and the room looked amazing as usual thanks to consultant Leslie Jones (who referred Anna & Matthew to us) and David Strohmeyer of The Empty Vase.

I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple than Emily & Jamey to film on their extravagant wedding day at the Columbia Club.  With out of this world decor designed by one of my all-time favorite industry friends (thanks for the referral, “GB!”) and smashing music by Chicago band Orchestra 33, the whole day was a feast for the senses, beautifully captured by Megan W Photography.

Tissues were mandatory at Katie & Lance’s emotional wedding and reception at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.  After a sweet first meeting in the Tiler’s Room, we roamed around downtown for some shots with Nate & Cambrie of Nathaniel Edmunds Photography.  Then came the gorgeous ceremony in the theater, which Katie’s very pregnant twin sister was able to enjoy via iPad from the hospital.  She also delivered a pre-recorded toast during the reception while sitting (again via iPad) right by Katie’s side, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.  The room looked fantastic with huge black ostrich feather centerpieces by Bella’s Blooms, and the service by Thomas Caterers was sublime as usual.  And for the second consecutive night, I got to film a packed dance floor courtesy of Grapevine Entertainment.
