The holiday season was kicked off in style with Abby & Anatoli’s winter wonderland wedding at Christ Church Cathedral and the Columbia Club, with the newly-lit “World’s Largest Christmas Tree” towering over the proceedings.  I arrived at the club just as Karen Hall & Company were putting the finishing touches on the beautiful bride, and then joined Nathaniel Edmunds Photography as the couple greeted each other in the lobby and headed outside for photos.  Following the wedding, Monument Circle formed a panoramic backdrop for the reception in the Crystal Terrace, which was beautifully decorated by The Empty Vase along with a cake by Taylor’s Bakery.  After a few formalities including the traditional Russian bread and salt ceremony, Jim Cerone‘s music led the way for a fun evening of celebration.

Jessica & Calvin’s wedding day was a blast, from their lovely ceremony at Carmel Lutheran Church through their fantastic reception at the Bridgewater Club.  Following the ceremony, we scooted around on golf carts at the club for photos with Jennifer Driscoll.  The reception events were divided between the Legacy Room where a tasty creation by Classic Cakes greeted the guests, the banquet room where David Stromeyer made his magic happen, and the tented outdoor pavilion where Jason Fritz entertained the guests.  Expertly overseeing every detail of this fabulosity was planner Leslie Jones, who referred Jessica & Calvin to us.

Grace & Graham kicked off the fall season in style with a beautiful wedding at the Indiana Landmarks Center and IU homecoming-themed reception at the JW Marriott.  Coverage started at the JW with the couple’s preparations (I loved the scrapbook Grace made for her parents) and first look before heading out for some fun photos with Cassie Conforti.  Following a gorgeous ceremony at the Landmarks Center, we were greeted back at the JW by an absolutely stunning display of fall-themed floral splendor by The Empty Vase and overall design by planner Monica Richard of Mon Amie Events (who referred this wedding to us).  With an IU groom’s cake by Classic Cakes, personalized Pizza Express-style cups, Mother Bear’s late-night pizza snack, and an amazing party band in Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press that had the crowd rocking all night, I felt like I was right back on campus during homecoming surrounded by fun and friends.

Moey is one of the sweetest, most happy-go-lucky brides I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, and Drew is her perfect match, as anyone who witnessed their wedding at St. Mary’s Catholic Church & reception at the Indiana Roof Ballroom could attest.  After covering preparations at Evan Todd Salon and an emotional gift exchange at the Conrad Indianapolis, we headed to the church for their beautiful ceremony.  Afterwards, we hopped around downtown with photographer Jessica Strickland for some fun shots, finishing up at the Pearl Street Pub.  The Roof looked incredible as always, with decor by The Empty Vase and A Classic Party Rental, and a Heavenly Sweets cake welcoming the guests.  The Andrew Young Band had the crowd rocking all night with funky classics & recent EDM hits, and Jessica Dum Wedding Coordination was there to keep everything flowing smoothly all day.

Lauren & Tom’s storybook wedding day took place on her grandparents’ farm property in Franklin, and what a day it was!  After capturing their preparations and first look alongside photographer Jennifer Driscoll, we had fun exploring the many beautiful corners of the property throughout the day for photos.  The ceremony amid the trees was right out of a movie, with cool details like “Mimi’s lemonade” greeting the guests, wedding programs by Pink Poppy Ink printed onto brown bags containing rose petals to throw, and a towering fabric backdrop pointing up to the sky.

The tented reception featured more amazing decor & details provided by A Classic Party Rental, The Empty Vase, Wow Factors, Thomas Caterers & Classic Cakes among others.  But it was the magical moments between Lauren & Tom that made the night, from their spirited dancing with music provided by Colby Beserra & The Party Faithful through their fireworks surprise for their guests.  Overseeing all this spectacle was Monica Richard of Mon Amie Events, who referred this unforgettable event to us.

Chandra & Kevin enjoyed a beautiful, music-filled wedding ceremony in the Artsgarden, followed by a rousing reception at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.  Chandra’s mom is a music teacher, so she took advantage of the Artsgarden’s ideal acoustics and arranged half an hour’s worth of amazing prelude music, all of which we captured.  Then we went to Monument Circle with photographer Jessica Strickland for some fun photos before heading to the Roof (who referred Chandra & Kevin to us) for more surprises.  I loved the guest book “puzzle,” as well the many more musical surprises including the choir performance during the cutting of Heavenly Sweets‘ delicious cake.  The decor by The Empty Vase was spectacular, and DJ Ben Schreiber provided some fun music throughout the evening.

Sara & Curtis enjoyed a blast of a wedding day with a ceremony at St. Barnabus Catholic Church followed by a lively reception at D’Amore Indianapolis.  After preparations with JW Salon and Makeup by Sparkle, a sweet first look in the Hilton Garden Inn lobby, and a few quick shots on monument Circle with photographer Jessica Strickland, we headed to the same church where we filmed Curtis’ sister Kristen’s wedding just last fall for their beautiful ceremony.

After some more photos around White River State Park, we all settled into D’Amore, where planner Monica Richard (who referred Sara & Curtis to us), The Empty Vase, Wow Factors, Pomp & Polish and the rest of the design team created a vibrant, sparkly atmosphere accentuated by the setting sun.  Dinner & dessert by Thomas Caterers and Classic Cakes was amazing as usual, and Wedding Entertainment Director Jim Cerone kept the energetic crowd on its feet all night.

I had too much fun for words at Brittany & Johnny’s wedding at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church & reception at the Omni Severin.  Having already filmed the weddings of both the bride AND groom‘s sisters, I felt comfortable the moment I walked into the bridal suite at the Omni as Crystal Haffner was putting the finishing touches on Brittany.  After a sweet first look for the couple on the ballroom balcony, we headed outside for some hot photos in the cold with Jessica Strickland before heading to the church for the beautiful ceremony.

The reception looked stunning with decor by The Empty Vase in the old Severin Lobby, and following dinner, all of the action moved into the Severin Ballroom as the First Impression Band played on through the night.  Leslie Jones did her usual wonderful job in planning the day, and it was fun to be reunited with her for another special day in the lives of these two great families.
