I had a wonderful time capturing Christy & Drew’s wedding day, from their lovely ceremony at Meridian Street United Methodist Church through a rousing reception at the JW Marriott. Photographer Rich Miller (who referred Christy & Drew to us) and I were able to capture some nice shots around the church prior to the ceremony, and it was a pleasure to finally work alongside Rich. The reception was a blast, starting with a cocktail hour featuring a stunning view of Victory Field, a cool Lucas Oil Stadium cake by Classic Cakes, a gorgeous candlelit reception amidst nice decor by Kathy’s Kloset, and culminating in many bodies crowding the dance floor as the Endless Summer Band kept everyone on their feet.

Brandon filmed a gorgeous, tradition-filled wedding and reception for Sylvia & Chris at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.  The ceremony featured tasteful decor by the Shadeland Flower Shop as well as many lovely moments in the Greek Orthodox tradition, my favorite of which is the crowning of the bride and groom.  Following some photo time with Marty Seppala, everyone gathered back at the church for a lively, dance-filled party presided over by Track Seven DJs and led by this very fun, unforgettable couple.

Three years after filming Asha & Tyrone’s epic wedding & reception in St. Lucia plus their second reception at the Conrad Indianapolis, I had the pleasure of capturing another wonderful milestone in their lives – soon-to-be-born Iayah’s baby shower at The Palace at Somerset Park in New Jersey.  Working alongside photographer Jibran Aslam, I captured Asha’s usual stunning fairy-tale decor highlighted by a Disney-themed cake, lots of fun and games with their loved ones, and some sweet moments with the couple alone.  The food and hospitality at The Palace were first class (I can still taste those short ribs), and it was a blast to be reunited with so many familiar faces from that unforgettable experience a few years back.  Precious Iayah was born on August 11 and is adorable!

Tasha & Stephen exchanged vows at St. John Catholic Church, followed by a fun reception at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. Coverage started with preparations at the Hyatt Regency with EyeMAX Makeup, highlighted by Tasha’s traditional pre-wedding toast with her parents and two sisters, whose previous weddings we also filmed. After the ceremony at St. John’s, Nathaniel Edmunds Photography and I headed out for some fun photo ops around downtown before settling in at the Scottish Rite. The reception in the ballroom was a blast, featuring superb service by Thomas Caterers of Distinction, elegant decor by Kathy’s Kloset, divine cake by Heavenly Sweets, rockin’ music by Track Seven DJs, and lots of memories shared with many former clients in this fun crowd.

Andrea & Patrick brought plenty of international flavor (in every sense of the word) to their wedding and reception at The Alexander. From their emotional first meeting captured by Vrai Photography amid the hotel’s stunning artwork through the fun, breezy ceremony, their affection for each other translated clearly to their guests from all over the world. Though for those who needed a little guidance, Pomp & Polish‘s brilliantly designed multilingual program spelled the action out in all languages.

It was at their reception in Market Table that they truly got to show their international colors, through their multi-lingual speeches, two very different Classic Cakes, energetic & eclectic music by Cathy Morris & DJ Krista Lee, and especially the mouth-watering variety of tapas style creations by the ingenious Alexander staff, topped off by favors and a champagne bar featuring Sage’s Simple Syrups. Making all this awesomeness happen within just a couple of months was planner Monica Richard of Mon Amie Events, who thankfully brought me on board this out-of-this-world ride.

Krystal and Courtney enjoyed a perfect storybook wedding day at the Scottish Rite Cathedral with lots of amazing surprises for their guests. Krystal looked radiant as she arrived, fresh from her transformation by Karen Hall & Co. After an emotional first meeting with Courtney, photographer Jessica Strickland and videographer Heather Brogden captured some photos & footage while I got to work on creating a same-day edit video to surprise everyone with later. The ceremony was lovely, with beautiful live music provided by R&B artist Cupid.

The ballroom was simply stunning thanks to the efforts of Darcie Kornmeyer of Circle City Planners (who referred us), Circle City Designers, Thomas Caterers, Classic Cakes and Evans Audio Visual among others. Shortly after their first dance, we surprised the guests with the showing of the Same Day Edit, featuring highlights of the day right up through that first dance, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. The other big surprise was the ubiquitous “Cupid Shuffle” performed live by Cupid himself, before DJ Indiana Jones closed the deal on an unforgettable night. Thanks to an amazing vendor team for making the impossible possible!
