My friends at Circle City Planners had been anticipating this weekend with excitement and some nervousness all year with good reason – six weddings, with FIVE on June 26! I spent a couple of hours running around guerrilla-style to each of their reception venues (Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station twice, Laurel Hall, Scottish Rite Cathedral and two residences) to capture some of the preparations and decor behind the scenes. It was a little crazy, but Team CCP pulled it all off with style to spare.

With the Indy 500 just around the corner, Kaitie & Richie brought plenty of Race Day cheer to their wedding at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and reception at the Westin.  Coverage started with a rehearsal dinner fiesta at Adobo Grill, then continued the next morning as the guys gathered for some old school shaves & cuts at Red’s Classic Barber Shop, while the gals got ready at the Westin.  After a sweet gift exchange in which the firefighter groom scored a cool new helmet, everyone headed to St. Mary’s for the beautiful ceremony.

After photos on a classic firetruck, we headed to Monument Circle for some photos with Kevin & Alicia Monahan, then returned to the Westin (who referred Kaitie & Richie to us), where some incredible race-themed decor by Kathy’s Kloset awaited us.  A bagpiper led guests into the ballroom, and the band Living Proof took over from there, tearing it up with some killer rock/R&B while the guests hammed it up for Indy Photo Booths.

Liza & Nick enjoyed a Hoosierific wedding and reception on the Indiana University campus, starting with a beautiful ceremony at St. Charles Catholic Church, and finishing with a bang at the new Henke Hall of Champions at Memorial Stadium, all captured beautifully by videographer Laurie Foster.  From the rehearsal through their first meeting and photo moments around campus, and even during the ceremony, this was a hilarious couple who truly loved to make each other laugh. Special thanks to Cathy Teeters, who referred this amazing couple to us, and whose staff provided the superb decor while keeping the show running flawlessly.

After a first meeting at the Renaissance Hotel, Kim & John enjoyed a fantastic wedding and reception at the Bridgewater Club.  Kim looked fabulous sporting makeup by Kiralee, and Anthony Wilson of On3 Photography was on hand to capture the first meeting as well as some fun shots around Carmel.  The ceremony was performed “in the round” by Dr. Scott Toussaint as the couple exchanged vows under a stunning floral chandelier created by designer Jim Holland.  Jim also helped transform the crystal-filled reception room alongside consultant Gloria Boyden (who referred this wedding to us), Evans Audio/Visual and the mother of the bride, who handled much of the amazing stationery and paper products herself.  I got to enjoy seeing Dave and Rae rock the Bridgewater for the second time in a month, while the guests hammed it up for Chad Franz and his Freezeframez photo booth.
