I was honored to be hand-picked to be part of the Perfect Wedding Guide‘s Platinum Gala at the Bridgewater Club recently, which showcased an exclusive who’s who of Indy’s finest wedding professionals and bridal fashions to a select group of brides. The rooms looked fabulous, the talent on display was amazing, and I’m glad I brought the camera along to capture a small taste of this spectacular event. Thanks to Ryan Hendrickson for the invitation – I hope to be back next year!

We got booked to film Blair & Michael’s wedding & reception at the Conrad just days before, and I’m so glad we did. Videographer Rich Johnson and photographer Andrew Scalini captured the many stunning details and events overseen by Gene Huddleson and Monica Richard of Detail + Design, from the signing of the ketubah to the heart-tugging vows, from the unique cocktail hour cake cutting to the Pizza Express breadstick favors at evening’s end (an IU tradition). Add some great rock & roll by Endless Summer, and you’ve got a perfect wedding party for a gorgeous couple. Thanks to Amanda and the rest of the Conrad staff for their great service – and for the referral!

Definitely one of the most fun and upbeat couples I’ve ever worked with, Michelle & David exchanged vows at St. Mary’s Catholic Church before celebrating at the Eiteljorg Museum. A long gap between the ceremony and reception allowed for plenty of pictures along the canal with photographer (shooting on film!) Lisa Berry. Surrounded by the lovely decor of Posh Petals and the kickin’ music of DJs Direct, the bridal party brought instant energy to the dance floor…and this was just during the introductions. Excellent service by Kahn’s Catering (who referred Michelle & David to us) and a fun crowd ensured a fantastic evening for all.

Our busiest weekend of the year came to an elegant conclusion with Nicole & Ari’s wedding & reception at the Conrad in downtown Indianapolis. After a few traditional Jewish customs behind the scenes, the couple exchanged rings, wine & blessings under the chuppah. Then we strolled around downtown with photographers bobbi+mike for some fun photos while the guests enjoyed cocktails and snapshots with Indy Photo Booth. The reception was highlighted by Nicole’s cousin’s performance of a Beatles tune, followed by classy entertainment courtesy of the First Impression Band. The Vienna Ballroom looked amazing throughout thanks to consultant Casey Scott of Etcetera and Flowers by Tiffany. Big thanks the Conrad’s Amanda Coffey and bobbi+mike for referring such a fun-loving couple to us!

Two years after covering Kelly & Tim’s wedding, I was thrilled to rejoin the Gavaghan family for Emily & Tim’s (Kelly’s brother) wedding at Holy Cross Parish, followed by a rousing reception at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. After preparations including makeup by Kiralee, Emily and the gals took some fun photos downtown with Danny Iskandar while I set up at the church for their beautiful ceremony, which concluded with the couple being escorted out by a bagpiper. The reception looked stunning thanks to Flowers on the Square and consultant Marie Frey of Fashions & Custom Creations. Everyone loved the authentic R&B grooves of Chicago’s Mike Dangeroux Orchestra, but it was the bridal party’s performance of a ditty called “The Bobbarino” during the best man’s toast that Emily & Tim will never forget.
