Kelsey & David enjoyed a classically elegant wedding day, from their stunningly decorated ceremony at Second Presbyterian Church through their amazing reception at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.  The ceremony was filled with many unique touches, from the children’s choir to the massive wall of floral splendor on the altar by Enflora.  The eye candy continued into the reception, where the guests were greeted into the room by a cool guitar groom’s cake by Classic Cakes, foreshadowing the fun that would be had the remainder of the evening courtesy of AMS Entertainment.  With Mon Amie Events (who referred Kelsey & David to us) overseeing every last detail and my great friends at Nathaniel Edmunds Photography shooting alongside me, Kelsey & David’s wedding day could not have been any more perfect.

Lauren & Tom’s storybook wedding day took place on her grandparents’ farm property in Franklin, and what a day it was!  After capturing their preparations and first look alongside photographer Jennifer Driscoll, we had fun exploring the many beautiful corners of the property throughout the day for photos.  The ceremony amid the trees was right out of a movie, with cool details like “Mimi’s lemonade” greeting the guests, wedding programs by Pink Poppy Ink printed onto brown bags containing rose petals to throw, and a towering fabric backdrop pointing up to the sky.

The tented reception featured more amazing decor & details provided by A Classic Party Rental, The Empty Vase, Wow Factors, Thomas Caterers & Classic Cakes among others.  But it was the magical moments between Lauren & Tom that made the night, from their spirited dancing with music provided by Colby Beserra & The Party Faithful through their fireworks surprise for their guests.  Overseeing all this spectacle was Monica Richard of Mon Amie Events, who referred this unforgettable event to us.

Sara & Curtis enjoyed a blast of a wedding day with a ceremony at St. Barnabus Catholic Church followed by a lively reception at D’Amore Indianapolis.  After preparations with JW Salon and Makeup by Sparkle, a sweet first look in the Hilton Garden Inn lobby, and a few quick shots on monument Circle with photographer Jessica Strickland, we headed to the same church where we filmed Curtis’ sister Kristen’s wedding just last fall for their beautiful ceremony.

After some more photos around White River State Park, we all settled into D’Amore, where planner Monica Richard (who referred Sara & Curtis to us), The Empty Vase, Wow Factors, Pomp & Polish and the rest of the design team created a vibrant, sparkly atmosphere accentuated by the setting sun.  Dinner & dessert by Thomas Caterers and Classic Cakes was amazing as usual, and Wedding Entertainment Director Jim Cerone kept the energetic crowd on its feet all night.

Shelby & Brian’s wedding day took place on the amazing private Nashville, Indiana property owned by Brian’s family, affectionately named Serenity Lake Lodge.  After capturing preparations in the house and the couple’s first meeting on their lakeside dock alongside photographer Jessica Strickland, we moved into the stunningly decorated barn for a short but sweet ceremony.  Then the action moved to a tent by the house for dinner, featuring gorgeous tables created by Wow Factors, out of this world centerpieces by Bella’s Blooms and Hoaglin Catering‘s usual delectable service.

Meanwhile, the Mon Amie Events team (who referred this event to us) flipped the barn to reveal a dramatic new look sculpted by Evans Audio Visual‘s lighting design and a surprise by the groom courtesy of Classic Cakes.  Minutes later, Brian’s father surprised the crowd by playing a song on one of the grand pianos that he had written for the groom’s mother after their first date.  DJ Krista Lee took it from there, rocking the crowd into the night.

When Monica Richard of Mon Amie Events told me that her husband Paul had brought up the idea of recreating elements of their wedding day to celebrate their 15th anniversary, I knew something special was in store, and I knew my answer to her next question would be “Of course!” Photographer Jessica Strickland and I captured preparations at the Omni Severin Hotel downtown, a limo ride to Bloomington, photos on the Indiana University campus where they were married, and a lovely reception back at the Omni.

There were so many wonderful moments and surprises on this special day that I’ll have to leave them for others to decribe in more detail. But my favorite surprise was when Bryan & Nick from the Endless Summer Band showed up unannounced during an epic seven-course dinner to serenade the couple with their original first dance song. (Though I might be biased since I was the one who set up the surprise!) Overall it was such a gorgeous, wonderful day that I’ll never forget, spent with this lovely couple, their parents and kids, and an all-star team of vendor friends. Happy 15th to Monica & Paul, and here’s to the next 15!

From their gorgeous ceremony at St. Barnabas Catholic Church through their epic reception at the Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station, Kristen & Tim’s wedding day was truly inspired.  Following preparations at the Crowne, we all headed to the church, where Kristen & Tim enjoyed a nice moment together without seeing each other.  That moment was followed by a beautiful mass, and then more pretty photo ops with Jessica Strickland at the Indiana State Museum.

The reception was over the top amazing, with decor by Alan Thompson, AIFD of McNamara Florist, event branding by Pomp & Polish, live music by The Impalas, cake by Classic Cakes, lighting design by Evans Audio Visual, man-cave by Wow Factors, booth by Indy Photo Booths, and most impressively, a round dance floor replica of the iconic Union Station windows.  The vivid imagination of planner Monica Richard of Mon Amie Events (who referred this event to us) was evident in that as well as many other touches big & small inspired by the round window motif and the couple’s Notre Dame ties.  Cheer, cheer for Kristen & Tim!

Andrea & Patrick brought plenty of international flavor (in every sense of the word) to their wedding and reception at The Alexander. From their emotional first meeting captured by Vrai Photography amid the hotel’s stunning artwork through the fun, breezy ceremony, their affection for each other translated clearly to their guests from all over the world. Though for those who needed a little guidance, Pomp & Polish‘s brilliantly designed multilingual program spelled the action out in all languages.

It was at their reception in Market Table that they truly got to show their international colors, through their multi-lingual speeches, two very different Classic Cakes, energetic & eclectic music by Cathy Morris & DJ Krista Lee, and especially the mouth-watering variety of tapas style creations by the ingenious Alexander staff, topped off by favors and a champagne bar featuring Sage’s Simple Syrups. Making all this awesomeness happen within just a couple of months was planner Monica Richard of Mon Amie Events, who thankfully brought me on board this out-of-this-world ride.

I’ll never forget my dear friend Amanda’s giddiness when she first told me she started dating Alex during their days at the Omni Severin Hotel, or the day we hung out in the Conrad Indianapolis lobby for an hour talking at length about their wedding day…a whole year before they got engaged.  So it was truly an honor finally to be there to witness and film their big day.  After preparations in Amanda’s suite at the Conrad followed by an emotional first meeting in the penthouse, I joined photographer Andrew Scalini for some stunning pictures on the rooftop and around downtown before heading to the ceremony in the Indiana Landmarks Center, a former church that has been transformed into an incredible event space.

The reception took place down the hall in a dramatic two-story rotunda, tastefully appointed by Paul’s Flowers with setup help by Gene Huddleson of Detail+Design, with intimate spaces on both levels for the guests to savor the many delightful surprises served by Hoaglin Fine Catering.  After many tearful speeches (“It runs in the family,” joked her brother as he broke down), the celebration was on, led by the Endless Summer Band with a memorable appearance onstage by Amanda’s godmother.  Planner Monica Richard of Detail+Design was with all of us every step of the way to make sure everything ran perfectly, and it was such a treat to spend a fun evening with so many industry friends among the guests and vendor team.
