The Soldiers & Sailors Monument provided a majestic backdrop for Hilary & Travis’ ceremony on the first floor of the Columbia Club as well as their reception in the Crystal Terrace on the third floor.  It was hard not to smile at the start of the ceremony when a family friend sang “Today I Met the Boy I’m Gonna Marry” while Travis nervously awaited the entrance of his stunning bride.

After some photos on Monument Circle with Andrew Scalini, the action moved to the Crystal Terrace, where the guests enjoyed amazing service, a photo booth by Indy Photo Booths, and great live party music by Zanna-doo.  Consultant Leslie Jones (who referred Hilary & Travis to us) did a masterful job behind the scenes, and Tim Kelley of Palmer Kelley Designs filled the room with an ambiance that provided an elegant balance to the stunning chandeliers overhead.

Jordan & Kevin enjoyed a beautiful wedding at Concordia Lutheran Church, followed by a fun reception with their hilarious bridal party at the Indiana State Museum.  The day was filled with lots of creative touches, from the streamers & paper lanterns that greeted the guests at the ceremony to the bicycle that greeted them at the reception.  Following the ceremony, we all headed out with photographers Jim & Debbie Meyer of Meyer Studio for some great shots around downtown.  The reception looked amazing with the INDIANA statue hovering over Royal Creations‘ beautiful decor, and the crowd had a blast dancing to music provided by Kyle of Party Time Sound right up until the very end, when Jordan & Kevin rode off along the canal on a 4-wheel surrey bike.  Thanks to consultant Deborah Sheeran for doing a great job and referring this fun couple to us!

Lauren & Kevin are an adorable couple from two wonderful families who came together to enjoy a lovely ceremony & reception at the Renaissance Hotel. The day ran to perfection with the help of Alison Wenstrup and the rest of the Aviva Events team out of Cincinnati. The aisle and centerpieces by Enflora looked incredible, the elegant cake by Classic Cakes looked right at home under the chuppah, and the Phase 4 Band out of Chicago had the crowd rocking all night while Marty & Emily of Bello Romance Photography (who, along with the Renaissance, referred Lauren & Kevin to us) captured all of the fun.

Angela & Chad are a stunning and very sweet couple who exchanged vows in a lovely Friday ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church before celebrating at the Scottish Rite Cathedral.  Though they didn’t see each other before the wedding, Josie of Crowe’s Eye Photography set up a cute moment where they got to hold hands and say “hi” to each other.  Then after the ceremony, we hopped over to the Lockerbie area for some more shots before heading to the reception.

The ballroom looked fantastic, not surprising given the team behind it – Darcie of Circle City Planners (who along with the Scottish Rite referred Angela & Chad to us), Circle City Designers, Thomas Caterers, Classic Cakes and nice lighting by Brian Whitis.  Mark Beecher of Grapevine Entertainment expertly presided over an amazing evening enjoyed by all, and after some candid shots in a Circle City Photobooth, we couldn’t say goodbye to this adorable couple without a few more nighttime shots outside.

Stephanie & Stafford’s wedding day at The Montage was filled with fun, family, friends and decent weather in the middle of a crazy hot summer.  After the couple’s first meeting in the ceremony garden, our good friends Dawn & Mike Fisher of Galleria Studios took the bridal party around the property for some nice photo ops.  The ceremony in the garden was beautiful, as were the vows that Stephanie & Stafford wrote for each other.  The reception inside was highlighted by the usual amazing service by Kahn’s Catering (who referred this event to us), tastefully elegant decor by Alan Thompson, AIFD of McNamara, and packed dance floor courtesy of Mark Beecher from Grapevine Entertainment.

Shelli & Thomas experienced an epic wedding weekend including a spectacular ceremony and reception at the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library downtown. Coverage started with a quick rehearsal followed by dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. On the big day, I arrived in time to capture the preparations as Karen Hall worked her magic, while Deborah & Cassie of A Touch of Elegance (who referred the couple to us) scrambled behind the scenes to make sure all the amazing details were in place. After some photos with Jamie Sangar, it was time for the beautiful ceremony, which included a cool sand ceremony symbolically blending their sizable families into one.

The reception decor in the atrium was simply stunning, highlighted by Bokay Florist‘s amazing creations, Sweet Seductions‘ towering cake and Evans Audio-Visual‘s moody lighting among many other details. After an amazing meal with outstanding service by Compass, DJ Eric Shannon kept the party rocking until the very end. Big thanks to Brandon New for capturing some sweet footage throughout, and for helping me surprise the couple with a same-day edit.

Liz & Matt enjoyed a beautiful, deeply spiritual ceremony at Second Presbyterian Church, followed by a rousing reception at Meridian Hills Country Club.  Photographer Brian McGuckin staged some cool shots prior to the ceremony, including a sweet moment where the couple got to hold hands without seeing each other.  The ceremony looked fabulous with Royal Creations‘ flowers dotting the aisle.  Following a nice cocktail hour outside at the club, everyone headed into the ballroom for an amazing night filled with fun, laughter and great music provided by First Impression.

Susie & Frank are a sweet, resilient couple who overcame death and illness in their respective families to make their wedding day a poignant celebration of love and life, starting with a ceremony at the Indiana History Center and ending with a reception at the Indiana State Museum.  The ceremony was truly a personalized affair, with members of their families and bridal party providing readings and taking turns reciting each of the traditional Jewish seven blessings.  The presence of a rabbi, minister and bishop during the ceremony provided an elegant blending of spiritual elements (not to mention a hilarious setup for the best man’s toast later).

The reception featured a lot of nifty little touches, a priceless reading of a poem by Susie’s father, and entertainment by DJ Tim Fuller.  Both venues looked incredible courtesy of decor by The Empty Vase, and planner Marie Frey did a masterful job of organizing and executing all the details of the day.  The couple stayed around for some nice nighttime photos on the canal with photographer Zach Dobson, and one sweet final dance alone with each other after the guests had left for the evening.

Kelly & Al shared an intimate and blissful wedding day with their family and friends at the beautiful Laurel Hall.  The rain cleared in plenty of time for the elegant ceremony on the back terrace and lawn, where the couple was accompanied by their respective children as the two families blended into one.  After taking some photos with Hether Miles, they joined their guests for cocktails in the solarium and then dinner in the conference center, featuring service by Kahn’s Catering and gorgeous decor by Alan Thompson, AIFD of McNamara Florist.  Once the action moved into the dining room for some great live music by the band LemonWheel, the energy never let up.  Kudos to Signature Events by Barbie for keeping everything running smoothly, and thanks for the referral!
