Kali and Garrett got married at St. Mary Catholic Church, and they had an absolutely stunning reception at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. It was wonderful working with Jim of Meyer Photography while capturing all of the special moments between the bride and groom throughout the day.

The reception looked beautiful thanks to flowers by the Design Group and a cake by Classic Cakes. The Indy Express Band (who referred the couple to us!) entertained everyone and kept the dance floor packed! Congratulations Kali and Garrett! Best wishes for a lifetime of love and happiness!

Jill and Cody had their wedding ceremony at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, and their reception followed at the Conrad. The couple saw each other for the first time in Sower’s Garden at the church before photos with Melody and Jeremy of Carpenter Photo & Design. After the ceremony, Jill and Cody exited the church as guests waved Texas flags (where the couple lives now).

The ballroom at the Conrad looked beautiful thanks to decor by JP Parker Flowers and a fabulous cake by Classic Cakes. The Cocktail Sax Band entertained the guests during cocktails, while Jon of Event One DJs rocked the reception. Deanna Boyce of Eventfull Planning did a great job of running the show, with help from new EP partner Laura Lim.

Best wishes to you always, Jill and Cody!

Kyle and Caleb pulled out all the stops for their phenomenal wedding and reception at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. The tears started flowing the night before as Kyle’s mother dedicated a serenade to her during the rehearsal dinner at The Capital Grille.

Photographer Jennifer Driscoll and I captured preparations with Karen Hall and Company the next day at the Conrad, followed by the couple’s first look and more photos outside the Scottish Rite. The ceremony in the south lounge had many unique touches, from the “time capsule” box enclosed with wine bottles and notes that Kyle and Caleb hammered shut, to the dove release during the grand exit.

Consultant Darcie Kornmeyer of Circle City Planners (who referred Kyle and Caleb to us) and Tiffany Mullen of Circle City Designers teamed up to transform the ballroom once again, with a huge assist from Thomas Caterers of Distinction, Evans Audio Visual and Westwood Paper Company. Chris Burger of Copper Moon Entertainment presided over the evening’s many highlights, kicked off by a surprise early first dance on the ballroom floor during the cocktail hour as their guests enjoyed the view from the mezzanine above.

Congratulations Kyle and Caleb!

Sofy and Ian had a morning wedding ceremony at St. Mary Catholic Church, and their multicultural reception followed at the Skyline Club. Since the bride’s family is from Colombia and the groom’s family is from the Philippines, the couple incorporated both of their cultures in various ways throughout the day, including a coin exchange during the ceremony and a fun “hiding of the single guys’ shoes” under the bride’s dress as an extension of the garter toss at the reception. Another memorable moment from the reception was when Sofy said, “Even though we look different on the outside, the truth is that inside we look alike. We have many things in common. We’ve  shared many happy moments together, and we have common goals in life. That’s why we’ve decided to be together and celebrate our union in front of God.”

It was great working with Julie Curry of Julie Curry Photography for the first time. She snapped photos while I captured all the action on video. JP Parker Flowers provided the lovely floral decor, and Direct Contact Latin Jazz kept the guests dancing all night with Pavel Polanco-Safadit providing excellent emceeing. Special thanks to our client, Brock McMillan, for the referral.

Best wishes Sofy and Ian! It was a pleasure being a part of your special day!

Vanessa and Matt had a beautiful ceremony at Holy Cross Church followed by a fun-filled reception at the Mavris Arts and Event Center. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Vanessa many times at the IMA and Mavris, and I was honored to be hired to film her wedding.

As always, it was great working alongside Tiffany and Nate of Nathaniel Edmunds Photography from preparations with Karen Hall & Company at the Mavris through the ceremony at Holy Cross and pictures afterwards around downtown. The reception looked spectacular due to Vanessa’s vision, brought to reality by David Strohmeyer of Empty Vase. I loved the butterflies, Chinese lanterns and tulips throughout the decor, especially on the cake by Heavenly Sweets.

The guests enjoyed Troy Hill’s Clikz Photo Booth as well as the great party music by the Souled Out Band, including a surprise reunion of Matt’s former bandmates. Vanessa and Matt couldn’t have been any sweeter, and we all had a blast working for one of our dearest friends in the industry. Congrats!

A couple of weeks after their first wedding celebration in Thailand, Tun and Brent enjoyed another wedding and reception at Crowne Plaza at Historic Union Station. We captured their first meeting and then lots of photos with Natalie and Tim of Twistedfrog Photography.

Tun and Brent had a very intimate ceremony by candlelight in one of the Grand Hall’s alcoves. Thai handcrafted candles were used instead of traditional placecards, and we loved how the Grand Hall started to light up as guests brought the candles to their seats for the reception.

Julie Acheson of Royal Creations, who provided the lovely floral decor, referred this beautiful couple to us. Jason Fritz of Pro-Sound Entertainment presided over the remainder of the evening’s festivities.

Congratulations Tun and Brent!

Becca and Dan’s rehearsal dinner at Maggiano’s was a casual affair celebrating not only their union the next day but also Becca’s birthday. On the wedding day at Carmel Lutheran Church, Kirsten Wray captured some particularly fun shots inside the sanctuary, with the holiday decor adding an extra festive flair. We especially loved Dan’s emotional reaction to seeing Becca walk down the aisle.

The reception followed at Marriott North, and the ballroom looked stunning thanks to decor by McNamara Florist. Wedding Entertainment Director, Jim Cerone, presided over the formalities and delivered one of the most packed dance floors from beginning to end that we’ve ever seen. (Thanks so much for the referral, Jim!)

All in all, this wedding was a fabulous way to end our 2010 shoots, and we wish Becca and Dan a lifetime of love and happiness. Cheers!

IndyVisual was recently honored to win three ISES PACE Awards at the totally tubular 80’s prom-themed gala attended by Indiana’s top event professionals.  Our winning categories were Best Videography for Asha & Tyrone’s epic wedding in St. Lucia, Best Team Effort ($75K-200K) for “An Affair to Remember,” and Best Team Effort (Over $200K) for “Monet’s Canvas.”

In all, ten of the awards handed out were for events that we filmed.  “Monet’s Canvas” also picked up trophies for Best Catered Event (Over $25K), Best Marketing/Design Collateral (Over $25K) and Best Wedding (Over $200K).  “An Affair to Remember” scored additional wins for Best Corporate Event ($75-200K) and Best Event Design/Decor ($25-75K).  The other award-winning events we filmed were “Secret Garden” and “Come Rain, Shine or Darkness,” which won for Best Wedding ($75-200K) and Most Creative Solution respectively.

Of course the biggest honor was simply the privilege of being a common thread in such a wide variety of amazing events.  It seemed that whenever there was an award-worthy event in 2010, we were entrusted to film it.  Special thanks to the many incredible talents who referred these events to us, and who generously acknowledged us in their speeches.  Overall it was a fantastic night filled with fun, food, dancing and great friends…not to mention a LOT of Madonna clones.

Charlotte and David had a gorgeous wedding ceremony and reception at the Omni Severin Hotel. For this couple, the start of their vows said it all. “God has given us a second chance at happiness.”

It was so nice to see a ceremony in the original lobby, and we enjoyed capturing their first meeting on the staircase with photographers Stefanie and Brock of SB Childs Photography. The bride’s friend, Paula Buckhaulter, did a great job with coordination, and the flowers from Kathy’s Kloset were a lovely addition to the decor.

Congratulations Charlotte and David, and thanks for letting us capture your special day!

Kelsey and Peter’s ceremony took place on the first floor of the Columbia Club followed by a reception in the 10th Floor Ballroom. We started the day capturing the couple getting photos taken by photographer Kiera Dubach.

The flowers for the ceremony and reception were beautiful thanks to JP Parker Flowers. As always, guests enjoyed dancing to the music provided by Jim Cerone (thanks for the referral Jim!) and posing for fun pictures in the booth from Indy Photo Booths. The reception highlight was a beautiful serenade by the bride to the groom.

Best wishes Kelsey and Peter!
